We are looking for an experimental designer, who will help lifting the quality of our service. We have built world's best bike sharing platform, and still have a lot to do. Come and join us making the cities better to live in for everyone!
We are looking for an all-in-one person to enhance the Donkey Republic rider experience. In Donkey Republic our product development priorities are strongly driven by data. That's why we would like you to be strong in performing tests and collecting research on how to improve the overall rider experience. We want you to be able to plan and execute research and have the analytic and statistical skillset to draw conclusions on the findings. Findings which you then translates into designs.
You will be working with building hypothesis and testing them out on a daily basis. This means identifying user pains, coming up with and collecting hypothesis of possible solutions and planning and executing the relevant tests that will show if this is worth the effort building. Answers to hypothesis' can be found in data, surveys, A/B testing in app, interviews or any way you find optimal. You should thrive in making lots of small iterations and optimisations.
Your will work closely with the product owner to give input on how to prioritise the backlog and with the marketing team especially on conversion funnel optimisations.
Once a feature is prioritised you will also execute the designs. We would like you to be able to output designs that are easy to execute for developers and aligned with OS guidelines, but the main priority for you is to drive experiments in the product team.
Donkey Republic being a startup with you the only UX resource, you will be handling a lot of tasks, with most-likely, less time for each task than you’d like or had in a corporate environment. You are flexible in terms of not being a perfectionist, when it comes to having to handle multiple tasks with short deadlines.
You are a designer with a strong foothold in data and research. You are driven by hypotheses around a user issue and you can plan and execute the research to unveil a problem. You should be able to not only collect the data needed but also analyse it and draw conclusions. You should have a statistical toolbox that means that you know when a result is statistically significant or not. We do have very strong data talent in the company but we'd like you to be able to finish most research tasks on your own. You should not shy away from talking with riders on the street or participating in support calls if needed.
You have taken part in getting one or more mobile apps to the market. We want you to build the product with our developers and not just deliver designs to them. You should enjoy the dynamics of interacting directly with the developers and take on the challenge of getting your designs all the way to the market. It is important that you can design for both native iOS and Android and understand the limitations and opportunities of both platforms. Experience with web and offline marketing material is a plus but as our service is mobile only, mobile is where your passion should be.
We understand that research, design and UX are usually spread into multiple roles, but we are looking for a person with wide experience and also see this as an opportunity to have an exciting and diverse job that brings new challenges every day.
We welcome you to work in a fast-paced, inspiring startup. We're ready to give you the space it takes to take ownership of our customer experience. We also offer a flexible work schedule and lots of social activities. We are open and honest, and put a lot of energy into building an amazing Donkey Squad.
We are based in our own office space next to Kongens Have in central Copenhagen. We enjoy socialising with each other and we all have a passion for bringing biking to every corner of the planet.
So, what are you waiting for?
Fingers crossed,
The Donkey Squad
