The company raised $1.7M in 2016 from Sam Altman (lead investor), Slack Fund, Paul Buchheit, John Collison and other Silicon Valley investors and is now profitable. It grows 10-20% monthly and has a core team of 16 people as well as ~140 designers and writers on the platform with it as their main source of income. Our client is currently building an ‘on-location’ engineering team in Oslo. It has 3200+ customers, with most of the recurring business coming from ~100 or so large enterprise clients. 

Now they are looking for a remote Lead Java Developer who will be leading the work on building the monitoring system for the whole application from the server point of view.

Requirements

Must have skills:

• Experience with Kotlin and/or Java 

• DevOps experience and experience with AWS, Terraform, Jenkins 

• Experience in distributed systems, and how to migrate a monolithic service to microservices

• Deep knowledge of AWS services

• Strong knowledge in SQL and RDBMS databases 

• Strong knowledge in logging tools 

• Interest in design and project management systems

• Experience working in a cross-functional product team 

Good to have skills:

• Spring Boot and Hibernate

• Team leading experience
