Startuplifers is on a mission to create the next generation of builders in the Nordics. To fulfill our mission, we send talented Nordic tech, design and business students and graduates to work at some of the best startup companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
To ensure the quality of the talents’ experience, we keep the bar high for our startup partners. Also, we don't want to help just any startup to grow and build their product with the talent we match them with, but instead we focus on the ones whose products make a real impact in the world. That's why we mainly collaborate with alumni startups from top-tier accelerator programs like Y Combinator, StartX and AngelPad. In addition to matching the startups with top Nordic talent, we help them understand and communicate their hiring needs better and reach the right applicants.
Some of the companies we've worked with include Coinbase, Webflow, Applied Intuition, Curology, UnifyID, Safety Wing and Synack. With the learnings from working at these companies, the majority of our over 250 alumni are now playing an essential role in the fastest-growing Nordic startups like Wolt, Varjo, Blok, Singa, Valohai, Matchmade, Smartly.io and many more.
At Startuplifers, we value our strong customer relationships with top startups, and we are looking for a driven person to join our Sales team. You will have ownership of the sales cycle from the strategy definition to its execution, while having access to vast resources and support from the team and external experts. You're familiar with sales. You have some professional experience in cold outreach, preferably in B2B, tech or startups environments.
You've got a growth mindset. You don't have to know everything, but you should be excited about learning a bunch of stuff to get things done.
You’re analytical. You love crunching numbers and analyzing the market from different perspectives.
You love experimenting. Through trial and error, you look for the best solutions to reach your goals.
You're impact-driven. You're passionate about helping young people to outgrow their potential and committed to making an impact with technology.
Our story began in 2011 with a group of students from Aalto University’s entrepreneurial community. They wanted to change the negative attitude towards entrepreneurship and make it more accessible to emerging talent. With this mission in mind, we've sent over 250 ambitious students and graduates to fast-growing startups in the San Francisco Bay Area to learn from the world’s largest tech ecosystem. In the process, they’ve realised that they, too, can become the creators of the future. Our goal is to help them find the confidence to create world-changing innovations themselves. And that’s why we do it not-for-profit. Startuplifers is an association funded by Aalto University, Ministry of Education and Culture and the partnering startups.
