Freelancebit is a freelance marketplace with low fees. On it, freelancers can upload gigs to sell a service and or offer it free-of-charge, and clients can seek out freelancers for any type of task either by searching for a gig and or by uploading a project. Volunteer and internship positions at Freelancebit comes with no commitment, no required work hours, and the freedom to pick your own tasks.

Do you have experience with JavaScript and PHP? Then maybe it's you we're looking for. Freelancebit is a freelance marketplace with great ambitions and laid-out plans. We are in a hurry and are therefore looking for a new candidate for our team. This is a remote position. It means that you can work from home.

Responsibilities

• We are proud of our newly launched platform, but we can always get better. Part of your job will be to further develop on our existing platforms. The development can both consist of refining existing functions, or make a total refactoring of existing functionality - always with the goal in mind, to improve the experience for our users;

• Together with your skilled UX and design colleagues, you will help improve the Freelancebit platform.

Requirements

• Multi-year experience in building websites and/or applications in PHP with MVC;

• Experience in modern frameworks like Laravel or Codeigniter;

• Version control (we’re using Git and we hope you are too);

• Experience with automated testing and Continuous Integration;

• Experience designing and developing Restful APIs;

• Have experience with Angular JS and MySQL.
