Startuplifers is on a mission to create the next generation of future builders in the Nordics. To fulfill our mission, we send talented Nordic tech, design and business students and graduates to work at some of the best startup companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. To ensure the quality of the talents’ experience, we keep the bar high for our startup partners.

At Startuplifers, we do marketing to attract potential talents for open positions we have sourced from the top startups in the business. We support sales by sourcing cold leads in scale and striving to set ourselves as the go to recruiter among startups for emerging talent in the Nordic region. Through marketing we also inspire and educate talents about the basics of job hunting and how they can land their dream jobs, and support startups in becoming better in hiring and managing talent.

Now we're looking for a driven person to lead Startuplifers' growth and marketing. This is your opportunity to take a strong and well-established brand to the next level. You will have full responsibility over the whole cycle from the strategy definition to its execution, while having access to vast resources and support from the team and external experts. 

What you'll work on in this role

Strategy

• Build a strong customer understanding based on analytics and hard data.

• Define B2B content and marketing strategy to increase inbound sales.

• Figure out which channels are best to use and develop channel-specific tactics and related content strategy.

Operations

• Plan and execute campaigns and create visual and written content.

• Use external agencies to help with design, content and visual production.

• Budget marketing efforts as well as goals and KPIs definition.

• Manage website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).

Support

• Provide data-driven insights to support the development of our service and product offering.

About you

• You're familiar with marketing. You have some professional experience in marketing or growth.

• You've got a growth mindset. You don't have to know everything, but you should be excited about learning bunch of stuff to get things done.

• You love experimenting. Through trial and error, you look for the best solutions to reach your goals.

• You're impact-driven. You're passionate about helping young people to outgrow their potential and committed to making an impact with technology.

Our story began in 2011 with a group of students from Aalto University’s entrepreneurial community. They wanted to change the negative attitude towards entrepreneurship and make it more accessible to emerging talent. With this mission in mind, we've sent over 250 ambitious students and graduates to fast-growing startups in the San Francisco Bay Area to learn from the world’s largest tech ecosystem. In the process, they’ve realised that they, too, can become the creators of the future. Our goal is to help them find the confidence to create world-changing innovations themselves. And that’s why we do it not-for-profit. Startuplifers is an association funded by Aalto University, Ministry of Education and Culture and the partnering startups.
