SOME THINGS ABOUT THIS POSITION

For this position specifically, you will be working for a friendly client building new features for their existing internal + customer facing platform (Backend: Laravel, PHP, MySQL). This is an ongoing project that will continue for 6-9 months. After this project, we will find a new exciting project for you.

We are looking for a back-end profile, but if you also like front-end development, this is surely an option as well.  

You will be safely introduced and onboarded to the project and will then be the main point of contact on the project (don’t worry - you are not expected to be manager of the  project). On an ad hoc basis there will be involvement of a designer and a front-end developer (Vue.js) unless you also want to do the front-end yourself! A project manager will be on the sideline at all times, to assist you with the process and customer communication when needed. 

People at Kvalifik are motivated and self driven. We don’t micromanage, but instead support and guide you in everything you may need.

We expect that you are available a minimum of 10 hours per week. If you want more hours, it is also possible (up to 20 hours). We are of course flexible around exam periods. 

We value facetime and a thriving office with employees. Therefore we expect that you too can be at the office in your working hours (but it can be flexible at times as well).

SKILLS AND WHO YOU ARE 

You fit the profile for this position if you:

• Have good experience with PHP

• Have good experience with Laravel

• Have good experience with relational databases (mySQL)

• Have experience with Git (Github)

• Understand the end-user’s perspective and can transfer requirements to functionality

Additional bonus points if you:

• Have experience with writing extensive tests with Laravel

• Have front-end experience (particularly Vue.js) or interested in getting the experience. This is not a requirement however!

You are self-driven, meaning that you don’t sit on your hands and wait, but take initiative yourself and like to drive things forward to create continuous (software/product) improvements. 

We don’t micromanage you, so first and foremost you observe and manage yourself. You take responsibility, ask for guidance when needed, and let us know if you need anything to keep you happy!
