Spectro Inlets is a young start-up originally spun out from DTU. The company sells products based on a groundbreaking microchip interface technology to mass spectrometry, which enable real-time and accurate measurement solutions to optimize environmental and chemical processes in challenging environments. Our technology allows otherwise unaddressed markets to be pursued, providing unprecedented possibilities for real-time process monitoring within e.g. battery R&D, biogas production, wastewater treatment and aquaculture.
We currently develop and sell analysis instruments and process monitoring solutions to R&D customers within electrochemistry and to biogas and wastewater facilities worldwide, and we are keen to expand the commercial potential of the technology in these and other segments.
We expect the company to pursue a rapid growth path and aim to secure VC financing or a First-North listing within the next 18 months.
We are looking for an ambitious Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to secure sales and undertake the commercialization of the company and expansion of its product line into new markets. The role entails everything from daily engagement of existing leads, as well secure a strategic scaling of Spectro Inlets measurement solutions into other relevant application areas.
You will be part of a motivated and highly competent team of eight people, who all work hard on creating a new future within mass spectrometry and implement a blue ocean strategy to our commercialisation and sales and marketing activities.
Driving the development and execution of the company’s commercialisation strategy by developing market opportunities, investigating customer needs and matching them with product features. Leading the assessment and prioritization of segments, development efforts, pricing and channel strategy, etc.
Generating awareness of and excitement for the company’s vision and convince decision
makers and the wider ecosystem that Spectro Inlets can offer previously unavailable benefits.
Securing and performing sales by ensuring generation and engagement of leads through a variety of marketing activities and nurturing and building customer portfolios and secure commercial traction across relevant application areas.
Developing and implementing a market leading strategic marketing, go-to-market plans and effective KPI reporting.
In parallel to the founders, be key in strategic and organizational development of the company to secure commercial success by making sure that all functions of the organisation are aligned to meet its strategic objectives of the overall business plan.
A proven track record of sales and commercialization preferably in a similar CCO, sales director, or business development manager role in a hardware company.
Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies in early-stage companies is an advantage.
A willingness to consider the strategic perspective for achieving the big goals, but also willing to engage in day-to-day efforts of addressing customers, support issues and company partners of a small organization.
Management experience as well as the ability to build a high performance team to take on the world as the company grows.
An educational background with a masters or PhD degree in engineering and/or physics/chemistry or economics/business administration – irrespective of background you should have a talent and enthusiasm for both technical and commercial aspects.
You are goal oriented, proactive and have an eye for commercial opportunities.
Experience with industrial sensors, analysis instruments and/or mass spectrometry is preferred, but not a requirement.
