GRIM is hiring an Operations Manager. GRIM is a marketplace for organic surplus and ugly-by-nature fresh fruit and vegetables. We've been growing fast since our launch in July 2018 and are now looking for an Operations Manager to own the warehouse operations.
Our Copenhagen-based company sources produce directly from farms and delivers subscription boxes straight to people’s doors or to a nearby pick up place. We also supply GRIM produce to food businesses. In short, we make it easy for people to live more sustainably.
As the Operations Manager, your priority is always to make sure GRIM’s product and service live up to our high quality standards and that it gets to the customers in the top form. You will report directly to the Head of Operations but will work closely with the whole team to ensure alignment with sales and other business activities.
The responsibilities include:
Managing warehouse operations
Managing, coordinating and optimising the B2C and B2B warehouse operations, workforce and space.
Keeping an eye for detail and flaws, spotting and correcting mistakes on the spot, and managing the team accordingly.
Keeping the facilities and equipment in excellent shape at all times.
Stock management for all equipment, packaging and other materials needed.
Quality management
Ensure highest quality of food, product and service at all times.
Team management and leadership
Identifying and improving individual and team metrics hourly, daily and weekly in order to drive performance and achieve our KPIs.
Keeping team spirit and morale up with open communication and good energy.
Maintaining and growing GRIM’s base of committed volunteers. Half of GRIM’s operations are to date volunteer-run, with a network of 400+ dedicated people.
Order management, reporting and admin
Managing customer orders and logistics through the integrated e-commerce and logistic systems.
Logistics
Day-to-day communications with logistics partners, with continuous feedback and improvement.
On the delivery days, correctly and timely handing over our products to logistics partners.
Other
Excellent customer service at all times.
Skills and qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in the food service, production, kitchen, logistics and/or warehouse operations.
Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.
Mastery of process optimisation.
Previous experience in e-commerce/webshop solutions and/or logistic systems preferred.
Can handle physically challenging work for a whole day and multiple days a week.
Strong experience in and confidence with Excel and data management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Fluency in Danish is preferred.

Details of the position
This is a full time position, and availability from Sunday to Thursday is required.
Salary commensurate with experience and skills and is subject to negotiation.
The start date is as soon as we find the right person for the role.
