Full-Stack Developer in Climate Startup accelerated by Google

Salary Competitive
Equity To be negotiated

Everimpact is on a mission to make it easier for cities and businesses to measure their greenhouse gas emissions, identify opportunities to reduce emissions and finance needed investments. In short, we use data to fight climate change.

Why we are hiring

Our IoT software platform measures and reduces CO2 emissions by combining satellite, ground, and AI data. Our technology caught the attention of Google and we got selected by Google among 1,200 startups globally, to join its Startups Accelerator.

Google is providing us with access to 20 teams in AI, Machine Learning, Product Management, Sales, Marketing etc. and helping us with our fundraising effort. Our company is growing rapidly and is, therefore, looking for 1 Full-Stack Developer to work already now, and join our team as an early employee by Q4 2020.

For Q3, we won't be able to offer a competitive salary package, but we thought we may find someone entrepreneurial, with a passion for climate, willing to position itself as an early employee and potential IT Director in a startup working with Google. We offer many perks such as remote work, training on AI, ML and product development with Google engineers. Any problem you will face, we can pair you with an expert in Google.

You will be able to join the accelerator program, working directly with the CEO and CTO (Climate expert). Our team has founded satellite agencies and UN agencies before. We need some tech enthusiasts to join the fight against climate change.

About the role

We are seeking someone to manage our IoT platform and down the line manage and grow the technology and IT team.

In the first phase, it means getting data from satellites, sensors, other sources. You will have to transform the data for analysis and visualization into a smart city dashboard.

We've built the infrastructure on AWS and Python, considering Google Cloud to speed up the development of AI and ML capacities. We need someone that can work with ETL/Data pipelines, cloud servers, and build the core IT backend on AWS or Google Cloud. The final product is a software to establish the carbon footprint of a city.

In the second phase, our plan is to build a team around that person, reporting to our CTO and CEO. This will be a key position in our company going forward.

Perks and benefits

This job comes with several perks and benefits

Working at
Everimpact

Everimpact helps cities and businesses measure greenhouse gas emissions, identify opportunities to reduce emissions and finance needed investments. We are trusted by 8 EU municipalities (London, Manchester, Porto, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Santander, and Herning). We are currently accelerated by Google in the first cohort of the Google Accelerator on SDGs. The EU Commission ranked Everimpact as one of the top 15 projects in all EU out of 1,000 financed projects (EU FIWARE VIP programme award). The Problem is that Cities and Businesses currently rely on estimated data (GHG inventories): • Time-consuming spreadsheet-based process • Unreliable estimates from many stakeholders • Do not know the source of emissions • Not attracting financing for CO2 reduction efforts Therefore, we created Everimpact! Everimpact is a climate monitoring system that combines satellite, ground sensors, and AI data into a software platform to establish cities and businesses' carbon footprint. As a result, clients can identify reduction opportunities and access financing for their climate investments.
