As AI Lead at Edventures you will be in charge of both strategic and operational responsibilities related to AI/ML in collaboration with our other team members. You will lead the development of our automated information and education features and apply AI where it can add value both to us and our users and customers.

As AI Lead at Edventures we need you to hands-on code new algorithms and improve existing ones while you also acquire and clean data needed (from sources we already have) for the algorithms, as well as solve problems and implement new ideas as the development progresses. Even though this is mainly a backend role, we need you to wear multiple hats and help out wherever needed (both backend and frontend).

We think this role will require you to spend at least 5-10 hours per week, which means it’s a perfect side-project while having a main occuption. We believe that you are currently studying (computer science, or something equally relevant) or working as a main activity but aiming to grow with this role and eventually transition in to a full-time occupation as we get the funding required when our prototype is finished and start getting some traction.

We run a remote team of four people and are about to finalise our prototype within a few months, but due to personal reasons our current AI Lead has decided to move on in his career. This role is crucial to finalising the prototype and you’ll have a big mandate on making us reach this deadline. We don’t care that much about extensive experience or a fancy portfolio, but rather that you have a great interest in programming and that you wish to grow within this domain. We will introduce you to our tech stack (Angular, Golang, Python, RASA and Terraform) and our internal channels (GitLab, Telegram and Trello). If you also have a great interest in entrepreneurship education, sustainability and global issues, that’s a BIG bonus.

• interested in and have some experience with NLP (and relevant frameworks)

• somewhat experienced with Python, RASA, PostgreSQL, AWS and GitLab (and eager to learn more)

• writing clean and structured code

• be motivated and disciplined enough to be working remotely (experience is a bonus)
