We are looking for an experienced web-app developer who wants to advance and strengthen a platform for sustainable investments. Ideally, you are skilled and experienced in frontend development, but your experience as a software engineer makes you capable of writing code for the backend as well.

Your role as our senior frontend developer

You will be working collaboratively with the rest of the engineering team as well as with our Head of Product to drive implementation and release of a new platform for our digital investment products. These products will be integrated with third parties, each wanting separate configurations and experiences. Because of this, development will be centered around modular components that can stand on their own as self-contained packages of DOM, styling and business logic; changing the product for one customer does not mean rewriting our platform - it simply means integrating a different set of components and configurations or extensions. You will be a key driving force behind these components and services, meaning that you will be considered as a lead developer within our organization.

How we work:

We plan 3 months ahead with the OKR framework and split projects into smaller, self-contained packages of work, which we monitor with weekly retrospectives and a kanban/scrum board. Projects are encouraged to stay small to enhance our agility and speed of delivery. Although we work to enforce structure, the fact that we are a start/scale-up means that you will have to handle yourself well in changing and ambiguous situations.

Your profile:

Because of your understanding of the modern JS environment and various programming paradigms, you know how to make our new product work in a way that supports code dependability, extendability and short release cycles. You are experienced enough to have well-supported and well-argued opinions about how a web-app ecosystem should look, to the point where you will be able to assist in scoping and changing new or existing cloud services. You are not necessarily an architect by trade, but you always keep an eye on the the big picture.

Your skills and experience:

During our interviews, we will gauge where you have your strengths and where you might need some help. This means that we are open to different variations of frontend or full stack experience and expertise. We imagine that you have +3 years of professional experience, and that you skills and experience center around the following topics: 

• Vue, React, Preact, etc. with relevant bundlers and transpilers

• OOP, functional and reactive paradigms

• Testing concepts and frameworks

• CI/CD and serverless deployment

• Authentication and authorization

• Agile development practices
