Running, triathlon, cycling, obstacle racing, and many other endurance sports are booming, but it's really difficult to find great events. With the largest database of events in the world and an engaged community of endurance sports enthusiasts, Let's Do This is making it easy to find great races, whilst helping race organizers to reach new participants.
Now they are looking for others who share this drive to shake up the health and fitness industry. As a Data Scientist at Let's Do This, you have a chance to hugely improve how they run their business and the user experience of their product. A constant focus on a positive impact for the business will help being epic in this role.
Analyse user behaviour and internal processes to identify opportunities to improve the product and their business operations
Translate business needs to technical requirements and experiment designs, to measure the impact of new product features
Help build tracking that allows precise measurement and build tools and dashboards to let everyone in the team explore data and monitor performance.
Be a driving force in making the company more data driven: Interpret analysis to give recommendations on business decisions
Own relationship with stakeholders within the Product and Business teams, and make sure that data to make better decisions is available and understandable to them.
You have a strong acumen of how to conceptualise a business in terms of metrics and you can break that down into constituent components to determine where opportunities for improvement lie
You have an interest in user behaviours and you draw conclusions on how to make the product better and more aligned with market needs
You are a good communicator and can argue convincingly for your conclusions
SQL and Python are comfortably in your toolbox and you have experience with transforming data into a format that is relevant to the problem you are solving
You understand statistics and can use that to analyse experiments and give estimates on uncertainty
You focus on speed and design for simple solutions and have an understanding of what is good enough
You favour delivering value rather than getting bogged down in academic discussions
You employ a growth mindset: you are open to new challenges and to learn new skills.
