We are looking for a full time Android developer to join our development team. You will become a part of our 5-man (soon to be 7) development team and work closely with our designer and customers to create great user experiences for our end users.

Being a remote team

Currently two out of our five people product team is working remotely from Latvia and Poland. In the day-to-day we have couple of video calls (like our daily standup) and are in touch on Slack throughout the day. Four times a year we all get together in our main office in Aarhus, Denmark. These visits serve as a nice way to catch up with the rest of the team, get some work done together and do fun things in the evenings.

• Have years of experience building native Android apps

• Are up to date on the latest system and language features

• Flourish in a small organization with little hierarchy

• Like automated testing and/or TDD, or would like it to become a part of your process

• Like to be challenged by our product designer, and collaborate to achieve the best possible solution

The role

You will be working closely together with our other Android developers on our Java and Kotlin based Android apps for our end consumers and the shops in the malls. You will be working along with our other mobile developers, product designer and the two technical co-founders. Though we change practices and processes as needed, we like following the agile principles, and develop in sprints of 2 weeks. At the end of the sprint the entire company gets together on a video call and show off their work and receive feedback and praise.

Emplate: Bringing malls online

We help shopping malls reinvent their communication with consumers in a way that customers love and find personal, relevant and valuable - all with our own software platform! Meanwhile, we collect data and insights on what drives people to physical stores - a skill, that is usually only possible online! The insights help us cut through the noise and bring more relevance into the communication through various marketing channels - all in order to give the customer a better digital experience in-store.

Where we are, and where we are going:

Our solution is in use in 16 shopping malls across four countries by thousands of users every month between our native apps for iOS & Android. We are a passionate, young and ambitious team of ten from Denmark, Latvia and Poland located mostly in our office in Aarhus N as well as in remote locations. We are currently expanding internationally in Europe, and expect 2020 to be a year of rapid growth 🚀
