The data science team is at the heart Flowcast. They are looking for a Data Scientist for their core machine learning team to keep up with customer demand. The ideal teammate is an exceptional data scientist looking to take ownership of critical components of Flowcast's proprietary machine learning platform.

What you’ll be doing at Flowcast:

• Build machine learning models through all stages of development from design through training, validation, and monitoring in production to predict credit risk

• Collaborate with engineering to deploy machine learning models in production environments

• Carry out advanced statistical analyses of millions of financial transactions to discover underlying trends

• Construct ETL processes to enable large-scale feature calculations using the latest distributed computing technologies

• Apply the latest explainability frameworks to provide visibility into machine learning outputs

• Write clean, modular and well-documented code that forms the backbone of our product

• Communicate the trade-off between speed and technical debt to high-level stakeholders including enterprise clients and executives

Things that make you a good fit:

• 2+ years of work experience in machine learning in an industry setting

• Solid understanding of statistical theory

• Experience deploying scalable models in production environments both on-premise and in the cloud e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure

• Strong Python programming skills

• Proficient with popular data processing and machine learning frameworks e.g. pandas, sci-kit-learn

• Experience with big data technologies e.g. Spark

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and proficient in SQL and ETL jobs

• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
