Kisi’s (kē-zē) vision is to elevate the day-to-day experience and security at your space as soon as you arrive at the door and beyond. While starting small in 2012, our vision has always been to change the way we secure facilities. We’re seeking a gifted writer and product geek alike with a passion for producing elegant and concise documentation for internal and external audiences.
You’ll be responsible for working cross-team to gather the information you need to structure and craft our product documentation pages, and you’ll also co-author blog articles that will be sent to our customers and other subscribers. You’ll also be responsible for product onboarding new employees within different fields at the company - at our Stockholm and New York office!
Responsibilities
Writing product documentation for Kisi’s apps, devices and other functionality in collaboration with product teams
Draft blog articles highlighting and promoting feature launches in collaboration with product and marketing teams
Develop onboarding materials that help new and existing employees (e.g. sales) understand how the product works on a broader level, and update materials and employees when things change
Job Requirements
Impeccable command of the English language (mostly written, we don’t mind if you don’t sound like you’re having tea every day at 5pm)
Absolutely geeky about products, preferably even geekier about the IoT!
You can break down complex information into “easily digestible” information for both technical and non-technical audiences
You know what GitHub is (that’s where we store our documentation) and you know how to write Markdown (that’s what we write it in)
IoT, HTTPs, TLS, HTML, CSS all mean something to you – you don’t have to be a coder, but you can explain what these terms are on an abstract level (e.g. “banks use HTTPs to ensure communication is encrypted”, “HTML is a markup language used to build websites”)
Some knowledge in HTML/CSS is helpful, but you can crunch that in a week otherwise!
Why Kisi?
We love our product, and want you to share our passion for taking access control, a $65Bn industry, to the 21st century
Become a part of a growing, tight-knit, and international team in an exciting B2B environment
We’re fun to work with and kinda geeky, and located in Brooklyn, Stockholm, and some more places around the world
Join us for our annual global bootcamp with the whole team, as well as team lunches and fun team events
