Skills we’re after

• Seasoned, proven experience of end-to-end delivery of creative project

• Solid understanding of online design trends and conventions, digital and social platforms, as well as their use within growth marketing

• Ability to balance individual design work with strategic thinking and brand development

• At ease with common Adobe CC apps: Illustrator, Photoshop, video editing

• An eye for copywriting

• Strong attentiveness to business and customer needs

• Curios and self-driven “get stuff done, well” -attitude

• Strong English

A plus

• (Swiss) German

• Motion graphics, e.g. web and vector animations

• Interest for DesignOps and UX research & design

• Experience with Sketch, Figma, XD and/or other web design apps

• Experience with web design (CSS, HTML; platforms like SquareSpace or Wix) 

As a core member of our Helsinki-based crew, you’ll work side-by-side with the lead designer and the growth team.

Among other things, you will 

• Work closely with the design lead in scaling and developing a consistent brand identity

• Facilitate workshops and conversations that help other teams incorporate visual and emotional design

• Ideate and conceptualise creative campaigns as part of  the growth team

• Build reusable templates and image assets for marketing

• Create visuals for ads, blogs, emails and SoMe posts (stills, GIFs, SVG animations etc.)

• Edit videos for ads and social media posts

• Use SquareSpace and our tools to assemble custom campaign pages

• Ideate, create and produce OOH ads, company swag and other print products 

• Creatively think how to pair top-notch copywriting with visuals that stand out

2. A work exercise Let's try working together – we will pick a real-life work task and try to solve it together. This will allow us to see how well we get along and you will get a real, unpolished look at the landscape in which you would be working.

3. A final talk Let's bring our CEO to the table and have the final talk about you starting at Selma!

If we end up using your designs in our business without hiring you, we’ll compensate for your time, of course! The job starts as soon as a suitable candidate has been found.

Although most of us choose to work from the office in the central Helsinki, remote work is part of our backbone.
