TechBBQ is seeking highly diligent, confident candidate for the role of Communications Director.As Communications Head ,you are accountable for public perception of a company, and managing this perception involves developing marketing and communication strategies, understanding the importance of timing and setting, responding to crises and setbacks, overseeing a team of diverse communications roles and ensuring that information released is consistent with the strategy at large.

Developing a cohesive communications and PR strategy.
Assembling and overseeing a diversely skilled team of interns and volunteers.
Cultivating an environment of readiness and alertness.
Projecting a positive company image to the public.
Managing media relations.
Ensuring quality control of all information released.
Advanced degree in Communications, Marketing or related field. (not required but preferred)
1+ years communications experience.
Extensive list of media contacts. (not required but preferred)
Experience/Understanding or strong interest in stakeholder/community engagement.
Proficiency in danish and english is required for this role.

THE PULSE OF INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE NORDICS ,Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation, based on the distinctive Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust, and meeting each other at eye level.
TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup & innovation summit, which in 2019 will gather more than 8,000+ Danish, Nordic and International tech entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators of tomorrow. TechBBQ takes place over 2 days in the historic heart of Copenhagen creating local and global networks to drive growth for startups and scaleups.
TechBBQ is established as a non-profit organization with 10 full-time employees and 8 part-time employees, along with a team of volunteers consisting of around 20 tech and entrepreneurship enthusiasts (starting about 4 months before the event), and 250 volunteer forces in the days on and around the actual TechBBQ event. TechBBQ is established as an NGO, and therefore does not have profit as a goal, but works instead with a goal of economic sustainability. The primary focus is on how TechBBQ can influence the ecosystem and indirectly society as a whole, while at the same time sustaining a financially responsible business model. TechBBQ is financed by funds from private and public funds, partnerships with private and public companies, and sales of tickets and other services.
