Actimo is a mobile workspace for frontline (non-desk) employees, that improves employee happiness and productivity by driving engagement. Combining communication, training, and leadership tools into one easily accessible, snackable and measurable mobile workplace, Actimo is changing the way companies connect to their non-desk employees all over the world.

We are looking for a motivated individual, who likes teamwork, and has a thirst to learn and improve their web development skills. As a junior developer, your primary responsibilities will be to learn the codebase, work on various development tasks, and participate in project & team planning activities. You will also receive mentoring and support from mid & senior level developers, to help you develop and improve your knowledge of the best practices when working in the web development world.

What you will do

• Development from A-Z on the Actimo core platform ensuring the best possible user experience

• Maintaining the platform and at the same time improving the existing set-up

• Develop and implement new user-facing features

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Optimizing project flows by collaborating with other team members and partners

What you bring to the table

• 1-2 years of experience with web platforms. Strong understanding of JavaScript or Typescript is a plus

• Experience with a modern frontend framework, such as Angular 2+, ReactJS, or Vue.js

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL

• Experience using a modern backend web server, such as NodeJS, Django, Rocket, or Golang

• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• You feel comfortable expressing yourself in English

• A Bachelor (or higher) degree in Computer Science (or similar)
