We are seeking an experienced IT professional to fill a more senior role to join our small, agile and young start-up on the verge of larger growth. We may be small, but we already work with big clients like Bane Nor and Nye Veier and have started on our international adventure. You will be joining a vibrant and dynamic work environment where you will help us bring infrastructure development into the 21st century and where you will have some freedom to form your own role as we grow.

As a System Architect and Developer at EMerald Geomodelling, your main role will be to actively coordinate the development and integration of our digital infrastructure and systems. Your core responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain database architecture for our key data workflows

• Develop software and routines for handling and storing data with integrated QA/QC steps and associated tracking & documentation.

• Coordinate development between teams of different programs within the company

Technical skills and qualification that we are seeking:

• Higher education in Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar field

• Extensive knowledge in database management and system architecture

• 5 to 10 years work experience in data management, software engineering, or similar roles

• Knowledge on best practice routines for software development

• Proficiency with modern programming languages, especially Python 3.5 or later
