At Sidetracked we are creating the new workflow for authoring 3D character animations. Our solution, Swift Animation, builds on Virtual Reality technology to bring precise tracking and ease of use to game developers and animators. The CTO position is an opportunity to join an already funded startup with a strong vision and a product ready for launch (currently in closed beta with pilot customers).
You know the game development industry and you have existing experience developing games. Maybe you have even shipped a game or two yourself, we would love to hear about your projects! Most likely you know the struggles of iterating quickly enough and delivering results across the team. Particularly, you know that 3D assets such as animations are time consuming to produce.
You want to build the tools to make processes like animating characters and objects easier and quicker, which leaves more time to be creative and do what you do best!
That's exactly what you can do with us. As the CTO of Sidetracked, you can help shape the foundation of our core product and expand our vision with ideas of your own.
Our main technology stacks are Unity and SteamVR. Experience with these will be a huge advantage. Other than that, you can expect to be working with inverse kinematics, linear algebra, character animation, and much more.
Your first months here will be spent getting to know the tech and working on a beta version of our solution that can be used in production with our current customers. We are looking for an equal partner to join as a co-founder, which of course includes also a monthly salary and equal equity (and have we mentioned that we are already funded?)
Qualifications:
Unity experience
Knowledge about VR development (f.ex SteamVR)
3D math skillset
Low-level programming experience
