UI/UX Design Intern/Volunteer

Job brief

We are looking for a UI/UX designer to create engaging and on-brand materials and maintain the Student & Innovation House website. The job includes ideation, visualizing and creating graphics including logos, layouts and photos. Part of the your job will be to update the main Student & Innovation House website. You will be working as a part of our IT team. If you are good in communication and able to work effectively in a team, we’d like to meet you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage in improvement of visual identity of the organization

  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

  • Work iteratively with main stakeholders in the organization to produce final design

  • Improve the Student & Innovation House public image through our website

  • Ensure that any website content is on-brand and visually appealing

 

Requirements

  • You are a student or have completed your studies within the last two years

  • You favor a flat structure where a leader is a coordinator and sparring partner rather than employer

  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details

  • Experience with web development is not required - we use Wordpress - in case you are new to it, we will teach you all the necessary details

 

If you have a portfolio, include it in your application, otherwise please include any other showcase of your work.

 

The position is voluntary, meaning it is unpaid. The job requires about 6 hours a week. However, working hours are extremely flexible, and some tasks can be solved at home. Since we are a student driven organization, there is a complete understanding that you will have less available time during exam periods.
