The Volt family is hiring! We are a scale-up primarily operating in the festival industry looking for a new colleague to head our HR team by recruiting, managing and caring for our event staff. After your first season with us, our hope is that you can use your experience and creativity to develop our HR department even further. The position:

Volt is a dynamic company with a core office of 7-10 people +100 paid seasonal staff and +600 volunteers over the festival season. It is vital for our business that all employees live up to our values and match our young, fun and innovative profile. This poses a great challenge for our HR team who every year recruits, trains and manages hundreds of young talents to take responsibility for our service at festivals. During your first season with Volt, your main focus will be to structure our hiring processes and ensure that we have the staff needed for our event season. This is vital for our organization as we wish to build on our seasonal team and better integrate them into the planning and execution of events. We are at the moment experimenting with an employee model where we want to hire this young talent and bring them into our offices during the season to build a strong funnel for our future employee needs. Over time, it will be your role as the HR Manager to develop, organize, and evaluate such processes as we go.


You will lead a team of people whose responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment of Festival Managers, Team Leaders, and Volunteers

  • Training of personnel

  • Contracts and salary payments

  • Shift plans and logistics

  • Team events, Friday Bars and parties

  • Employee care

  • Feedback and evaluations

Your overall role is to translate business objectives into HR solutions and pull the right resources into your year-round HR team and our seasonal team. You will develop the HR strategy together with the management team, and thereby have great influence over the overall direction and management of the company.

  • Are a structured worker who can manage long term processes and moderate them according to unexpected challenges

  • Are stable and able to handle several days in a chaotic (and fun) festival environment under high pressure

Practicalities:

  • You will be working from Volt HQ in Nørrebro, Copenhagen

  • Danish skills (written and spoken) are a big plus, but we evaluate each candidate individually based on an overview of their personality, experience and their general fit for our company

  • The position is full time, but the workload will be more intense in the festival season during the summer

  • We will discuss salary according to your qualifications

  • The expected start date is January 1st (in reality the 2nd of cause...) ;)
