The Community Manager works a HR manager and culture builder for the company. Among the areas of focus - office manager, team meetings, create and implement systems, develop and coach company managers, and run all human resources functions. These tasks include but are not limited to - recruiting, on-boarding, compensation and benefits, learning and development, separations and employee services.
The best candidate for this position will have:
Entrepreneurial experience building a People department from the ground up
Focus on employee experience and culture over risk mitigation
Experience and excitement building a diverse workforce
Excellent foundation of labor laws and compliance
Requirements
Interest in taking a leadership role in the People department.
Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
A self-starter with ability to project manage initiatives.
A systems thinker who can design solutions that will scale as a company grows.
Interest in working with a startup business.
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Expert Google Apps proficiency (i.e., Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc).
Experience working with different People systems.
Honest, clear, and strong oral and written communication skills.
Courage to think differently, take risks, ask questions and see outcomes as positive no matter the results.
