Risika is a Nordic FinTech start-up founded in 2017 with a vision to deliver the best financial risk management solutions to enterprise clients globally. To achieve this vision we extract valuable insights from both non-traditional and public data sources using advanced algorithms. The end-goal is customisable, automated and intuitive solutions. THE JOB

We offer a job as Backend Developer in a fast-paced agile start-up environment where new ideas are discussed daily. The job is full time and salary is negotiable and dependant on your previous work and experience. You will be helping our CTO and work closely together with a team of backend developers and data scientists. Your tasks will primarily be maintaining and developing our API, maintain our servers (related to AWS, Linux, scalability, stability, security), and help with data extraction tasks. We primarily work in SQL and Python and our production environment run Ubuntu, but you are allowed to use any OS for development - company computers run MacOS. If you are a self-driven individual, we offer you a great opportunity to get responsibilities and the freedom to investigate new concepts and ideas.

WHO ARE YOU?

- Experienced programmer preferably with a master's degree in computer science, software engineering or similar.

- Self driven with a passion for programming. 

- Honest, optimistic and positive mindset.

- Fundamental drive to learn new things and a strong focus on self-development.

- Want to automate yourself to avoid doing the same thing twice.

- Team-oriented and collaborative nature.

- Previous experience with Python, SQL, Git and Linux environments.
