Have you ever needed to buy something for work, only to find yourself dreading the inevitable paperwork that comes with it? That's what we're fixing - and more. Pleo is a business spending platform that allows employees to ditch paper receipts and expense reports, and companies to easily delegate spending, build a trusting organisation and embrace the future of work. Simply pay with the Pleo prepaid Mastercard, get notified on your phone, take a picture of the receipt and you’re done!

At Pleo we want to bring freedom to company spending. We want companies to trust their employees to spend responsibly, and freely. To drive the company's growth, the Compliance Team carefully assess each new customer to ensure high standards of security and reduce the risks of financial threats.

We are a handful of men and women who come from legal and financial backgrounds, who all share a keen interest in Anti-Money Laundering and Know-Your-Customer compliance. We're in a hyper-growth phase as a company now, so as our customer base and markets grow, so does the complexity that arises.

We constantly challenge our processes and find better ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of our work. To do so the team works closely with Account Managers and Engineers ensuring alignment within the whole company.

Right now, we're looking for an open-minded and hard-working colleague to join our team to support the growth of Pleo in Denmark, UK, Sweden and Germany. We are an ambitious team and we are looking for a passionate colleague to join us at the ground floor on this exciting journey - with the opportunity to grow into more senior roles as the Team and company expands.

The Role includes:

  • Opening new accounts, checking accounts against compliance guidelines, performing semestral revision on higher risk accounts and annual review of lower risk accounts;
  • Effectively utilize several systems to maintain accurate data for seamless processing and compliance purposes;
  • Reporting and screening of Politically-Exposed Person (PEP) and Sanctions lists.

What is needed to succeed:

  • Analytical skills
  • Fluency in English (any other European language is a plus)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Interest in technology
  • Drive to learn

Your colleagues say you:

  • Are a pleasure to work with
  • Are willing to go the extra mile
  • Enjoy cross-team work
  • Are a person they would also enjoy having a coffee (or beer) with (virtual or not)

Your mom says that you:

  • Are kind and generous
  • Remember everyone's birthdays (and send the family WhatsApp group reminders of it)
  • Take on challenges happily

Working at Pleo means you're working on something very exciting: the future of work. Through fintech we've seen a way to impact how people work; we think company spending should be delegated to all employees and teams, that it should be as automated as possible, and that it should drive a culture of responsible spending.

Being HQ'd out of Copenhagen means we're inspired by sensible things like a good work-life balance.

Sometimes, people write nice things about us,
