We are launching a new direct-to-consumer customised skincare brand and need an exceptional Chief Marketing Officer. We will launch above brand and not on the HelloSkin platforms.


About the role

As our CMO you will be joining an exciting venture-backed startup that is on a mission to make the world’s best skincare for people with chronic skin conditions. You will be forming the high-level commercial strategy for the company and be responsible and accountable for growing the company’s customer base through its execution. You are also responsible for increasing revenue; driving engagement and retention; and leading creative, brand, and communications strategies. Additionally, you will be assisting our CEO in pitching during future investment rounds.


Your responsibilities

  • Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategy and objectives
  • Own and drive marketing, brand, and communications strategies
  • Responsible for the brand positioning
  • Design and coordinate campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across all channels and through to the website
  • Lead and coordinate our marketing resources, which today consists of agencies and freelancers
  • Set acquisition and retention goals, objectives, and KPIs
  • Forecast and control marketing budget
  • Track KPIs on a regular basis and present results to the board


The requirements

  • Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role
  • Data driven mindset and an extensive “growth hacking” toolbox that you can apply
  • Industry experience and consumer focused
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques across digital and offline channels
  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities

We’re a spin-out company from LEO Innovation Lab/LEO Pharma that spent the last three years learning from people with chronic skin conditions and gathering data on skincare products.

We believe it’s time for a new approach to treating problematic skin: one that’s smart, helpful, and above all - honest. We got tired of so-called miracle creams, hormone treatments and a one-size cures all approach to skincare. We wanted to find a better way. So, we began a long process of gathering data and feedback on a quest to finally develop a world-class customised skincare experience.
