Tracked.bio, is a biotechnology company that develops fully automated phenotyping and identification systems for model organisms. We utilize custom made designs that combine deep learning with computer vision to gather millions of data points every hour, every day for the entire lifespan of an organism. The tracked.bio platform addresses the critical need for methodologies able to reduce cost and effectively evaluate the efficacy of aging intervention

Objective

• The mission of this student position to assist in developing the hardware to automate the analysis of fruit fly and mouse behaviour.

Primary tasks:

• Develop stationary, robotic and electrical components centered around high-throughput Drosophila melanogaster and murine analysis.

Secondary tasks:

• Assist in hardware development projects within the host laboratory

Requirements:

• Eager to learn and maintain organized methodology
• Some experience with 3D design, electronics or robotics
• The most important competencies are therefore that you are:
• Curiosity- & deadline-driven
• Speak and write English fluently (Danish is also of interest, but not a requirement)
• Highly-motivated and innovative mindset
• Able to collaborate with various specialties
• Ability to work independently, and seek out necessary resources when needed
