Govtech.dk is looking for a developer intern to join our growing team. We believe in the massive potential of Govtech and want to promote this rather young space. We’ve mapped the entire Govtech world and help people & organizations navigate through it. We are expanding our awesome team and looking for a front-end developer to join and make an impact on how the governments and technology start-ups interact. The mission of the internship period is to increase the awareness of how Danish companies can interact with government and funds, through our cutting-edge platform.

Primary task

• Help us build the front-end of our govtech platform, which contains the many industries we serve within the government technology space. This includes start-ups, IT-companies, non-profits, accelerators and incubators, funds and investors.

What we expect from you:

• Passion for software development
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of and experience with basic programming languages
• Basic or advanced Wordpress development skills
• You have experience with – or would like to learn – Agile methodology
• Focus on delivering high-quality results and committing clean code
• Flexible, structured, and dedicated
• A high drive, positive attitude, and the willingness to go the extra mile
• You are available for 2-6 months for ~20-30 hours per week. We will, of course, take into account any exam periods during this time.
• Be able to work full or part-time at our office in center Copenhagen, close to Kongens Nytorv
• Participate in and contribute to design meetings

Bonus if you

• Have experience with multiple tools and methods for building web applications
• Have an innovative mindset

We know that you are probably not a world champion regarding the above-mentioned task already. But do not worry - we will train you. 

The most important competencies are therefore that you are:

• Eager to learn
• Passionate about writing code
• Speak and write English fluently (Danish is also interesting, but not required)
• Have an innovative mindset and the willingness to run an extra mile
• Highly-motivated team player with a drive for getting things done
• Have an Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about new industries .
• Deadline-driven mentality
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment
