We are expanding our team in Copenhagen and are looking for a talented CTO/lead software developer to join our core team full-time. You will join a startup with roots and heart in social impact, trying to improve the everyday life on a global scale. We have a list of spectacular international clients waiting for us to take our solution from an MVP stage to a fully scalable solution.

Are you our new CTO that can take OurHub to the next level?

We are looking for a highly qualified CTO to help us in scaling our platform and solution. You will be in charge of refactoring and consolidating our MVP solution into a truly scalable solution targeting a global market. We have spectacular clients waiting, and you will get the chance to be part of an exciting journey to make our cities more playful and livable. 

You feel intrigued about developing new systems from scratch with no legacy code and are motivated by finding solutions to non-standard challenges in close collaboration with your team members and other teams. 

You will get the chance to set your own team from the grounds up, and be part of a startup that has passed the product-market fit, and with a disruptive and patent pending solution.  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide visionary leadership and clear strategic direction
• Be part of the management team with the overall tech responsibility.
• Lead technical scrums and agile project implementation 
• Recruit, motivate and provide strategic leadership to top tier engineers and data scientists
• Implement and maintain existing and new services and features (both backend/frontend)
• Build a strong organizational structure together with management
• Ensure high quality code by defining and applying best practices
• Co-coordinate with Product owner(s), external resources/off-shoring, to ensure world class quality
• Leverage and integrate best in class system- and data security
• Develop our tech roadmap

YOU WILL NEED: 

• 10+ years professional experience and a self-driven approach
• Strong passion for data science, IoT and software development
• Passion for solving non-standard challenges and come up with proper solutions combining hardware, electronics, IoT and software.
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and communication within the teams
• Attracted by an international environment and fluent in English 
• Experience or just strong eager to learn and implement AI
• Good understanding of NoSQL (we use Datomic) 
• Fluent/strong knowledge in Apache Cordova & AWS
• Strong executing skills on tight time estimates, with multiple deliveries

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU HAVE: 

• Previously held the position as CTO at another globally focused startup company.
• Fluent/strong knowledge in Clojure/ClojureScript
• Taken a consumer product (mobile first type) to market or other relevant experience
• IoT/hardware engineering experience
