Job Description

We’re looking for a Front-End Developer to take the lead on improving the appearance and interactivity of our application. This opportunity is exciting because our Senior Front-End Developer will take ownership of how we build and structure our front-end. They will be the primary for all things front-end so there will be a great deal of ownership. For this reason, we want someone who aspires to become a front-end technologist and therefore understands what they know and what they don’t know. In turn, we offer endless opportunities for learning, giving our Senior Front-End Developer direct access to key stakeholders, total ownership of the front-end, and the resources they need to deliver a successful product. 

What will you be doing? 

• Translating design concepts into functional and sustainable code
• Implementing testable and scalable code
• Designing/Redesigning front-end part of our application based expertise
• Helping product management on UX problems and technical specifications
• Participating in architecture discussions, educating team members on best approaches for the front-end

These are the problems you’ll be solving: 

1. How to limit/eliminate client-side performance issues? 
2. How to optimize the tooling from development to distribution? 
3. How to create great interactive design?

Qualifications

Sounds interesting? Here’s what we hope you’ll bring: 

• A few years of hands on experience with production web applications
• Experience with HTML & CSS , JavaScript (React & Redux) and integrating with REST APIs
• Frontend development skills including modern responsive layouts
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Solid written and verbal communication skills—we mainly speak English in the office!

Ideally, you also tick some of these boxes: 

• Some experience with server-side programming like NodeJS
