Ioteelab is a Danish startup founded in 2017, focusing on IoT & AI driven Smart City applications that help cities save costs and improve the life of its citizens.

One global problem that we are aiming to solve is that, at the moment the waste bins in cities are emptied at regular time intervals. This approach is inefficient since it does not rely on knowing when the bins are full. Consequently, the containers are sometimes emptied when they are only half full or overfilled, leading to higher collection costs, increased traffic and air pollution.

Since Ioteelab’s mission is to ensure a more sustainable and connected future, we developed our smart waste collection solution in a way that allows for dynamic waste bin emptying, and that can solve this global problem. The solution consists of a fill level sensor, an online platform for analytics and dynamic route planning and a navigation software for waste collectors. Our solution enables cities and municipalities to increase their recycling efficiency by up to 40%. In the same time, our solution is easy to implement and maintain, have high durability, and affordable price.

Our vision is to become the leading provider for smart waste tech using IoT and AI technologies and as our pilot projects are progressing rapidly together with the increasing number of our partners, we are now looking to expand our team with an enthusiastic marketing intern, who would join our office in the lovely city of Aarhus.

Main responsibilities:

• Support marketing coordinator on all marketing related activities and seek ways to improve them;
• Collect information on tech and waste recycling conferences/exhibitions for 2019 and set up a budget;
• Plan and design marketing materials (exhibition stands, brochures, etc.);
• Create and execute content publishing strategy (blog posts, SoMe);
• Participate in daily administrative tasks and assist in promotional activities;
• Ad-hoc marketing related tasks.
