About bio børsten

bio børsten makes sustainable toothbrushes made from bamboo. Every year more than 3.500.000.000 (yep - that’s billions) plastic toothbrushes are consumed, resulting in approximately 70.000 tonnes of plastic waste. bio børsten is an entirely biodegradable toothbrush that aims to reduce plastic waste and give conscious consumers a sustainable and health-friendly alternative to plastic toothbrushes. bio børsten’s values are sustainability, user-centered design and health-first. The company’s founder, dentist Frederik Hallengren, designed the toothbrush with these core values as guiding principles.

The role

As a design intern with bio børsten you will get the opportunity to create stunning product and graphic experiences within sustainable product design. You will work on multiple design projects related to online content, physical graphic material and product design, and your work will have real-life impact on the company and our users. Right now our company is growing and we need help with creating a user-friendly and stunning online experience, improve our product design and graphic material to be used in online and in-store promotion, which we hope that you can help us with as part of the bio børsten team.

Your responsibilities

• During your internship your core responsibilities will be:
• Design our online experience for communicate our product to users
• Create stunning visual material for both online and physical media 
• Work closely with marketing to show the our product in real-life settings
• Bring new ideas on product design and execute on them

• We don’t have strict requirements on who you need to be or what you have done so far, but we do expect you to:

• Have a strong sense of aesthetics and experience (from either professional or educational projects) with design
• Be open-minded and have a willingness to learn
• Be good at working together with others, and is fundamentally positive and optimistic
• Have good business acumen and a strong work ethic
• Have the drive to succeed in a (sometimes) hectic and demanding environment

Practical info

We are flexible about the form in which you engage and therefore invite you to apply whether you are looking for a full time internship or only have the possibility to work 15-20 hours a week next to study or work.
