Since 2013 Frank has grown from an idea into a 10 person team based in the heart of Helsinki. We are looking for our next Product Manager, who already has experience in product development, preferably with a focus on mobile and web applications. It is both, a very hands on as well as strategical position integral for our company.

In August 2016 Frank introduced the first digital student card in Finland, which now has over 60 000 monthly active users and was awarded as the Best Mobile Utility Service in Finland at Slush 2016. In May 2017 our Product team was awarded as the Best Performing Team in Blue Arrow Awards. But we didn’t stop there.

The upcoming year will bring us a completely new playfield when we are opening our service for all students in Finland and doubling our potential customer reach, so there’s no better time for you to make an impact in student identification business in Finland.

Frank is looking for a Product Manager to steer our product development.

We at Frank believe in learning by doing, but for this position you should already have experience about product development and management, preferably with a focus on mobile and web applications. The role of the Product Manager includes many activities from strategic to tactical, i.e. you are responsible for defining the ‘why’, ‘what,’ and ‘when’ of our core product. You are the lead technical resource for the rest of the organization and also to our partners when deep product expertise is required.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Owning Frank’s product vision and strategy
• Defining and communicating the product roadmap
• Managing and updating a release plan outlining near-term deliverables
• Defining the right problems to solve
• Budgeting and resource allocation for product development
• Leading and unblocking the product development team
• Product team resourcing
• Fostering a user-centric product development mindset
• Setting and evaluating product success metrics on a constant basis
• Contributing to the vision and roadmap of our overall business

What we expect from you:

• Proven track record of managing software development teams
• Understanding of two-sided marketplaces
• Drive and hunger to grow business results through product
• Working knowledge of common analytics tools and practices
• Capability to make (even hard) decisions
• Eye for empathy and team-building
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in English

We are reeeally interested if in addition you can also:

• Do user research
• Jump in to help the team and solve minor development tasks on your own
• Understand the possible complexity of building a multi-platform React application on top of a serverless backend architecture running on AWS with integrations to 3rd party systems
• Design wireframes and UI mockups with Sketch to speed up our design process
