The Hub and +Impact are the go-to platforms for startups in the Nordics. In collaboration with Danske Bank, we seek to assist the growth of startups and ease the life of entrepreneurs by providing access to recruitment, funding, events, best practice tools, and expert advice. Though we’re a young company, we’ve already serving 1.5M users per year and have expanded to five markets.

We are looking for a highly qualified Lead Developer, who will join a small team of skilled people, and together take +Impact and The Hub to the next level. The successful candidate will be a creative full stack developer, experienced in building, managing, and running complex web applications.

Your responsibilities:

• Take lead and ownership of the entire tech stack(s)
• Maintain and implement new features (both backend / frontend)
• Continuous sparring with the rest of the team
• Bring your technical insights and lead the process of taking ideas to implementations.
• Structure your time estimates and plan for deliveries
• Ensure high quality code, by defining and applying best practices.
• If needed coordinate with external resources, by splitting features into tech specifications and ensure deliveries meet our best practices

You will need:

• 5+ years professional experience
• Be a problem solver
• Self-driven approach
• Strong passion for software development and eager to learn
• Fluent in Node.js / HTML / CSS
• Experience in one or more Javascript Frameworks (React / Vue.js or equivalent)
• Building and consuming RESTful/GraphQL APIs
• Working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB or similar)
• Good understanding of software architecture and best practices (Clean code / SOLID / DRY / Design patterns)

It's not important that you can tick off all the boxes on this list or that you’re equally talented in frontend and backend. What really counts is your experience as a developer and that you know how to leverage your existing experience across the given tech stack and languages. Furthermore, it’s super important that you’re open-minded and excited to learning new things that might be out of your comfort zone.

It would be a plus if you have: 

• Experience with SEO
• Experience with devops (docker / kubernetes / ci)
• Experience with writing automated unit and E2E tests
• Experience with security best practices (ex. OWASP)

The current stack(s):

Backend is built with Node.js backed by a MongoDB, and data is exposed via GraphQL, our frontend is mostly in Vue.js, SCSS.
