Volt is a start-up in the festival industry, who is looking for a new colleague to head the HR team and recruit, manage and care for our festival staff. The Position

Volt is a dynamic company with a core office of approximately 10-15 people, +100 paid seasonal staff and +600 volunteers over the festival season. It is vital for our business that all employees live up to our values and match our young, fun and innovative profile. This poses a great challenge for our HR team who every year recruits, trains and manages hundreds of young talents to take responsibility for our service at festivals. 

As the HR Manager, it will be your role to develop, organize, and evaluate this process as we go. You will lead a team of people whose responsibilities will include: 

  • Recruitment of Team Leaders and Volunteers
  • Training of personnel 
  • Contracts and salary payments
  • Shift plans and logistics
  • Team events, Friday Bars and parties
  • Employee care
  • Feedback and evaluations 
  • Keeping an overview of conferences

You will develop the HR strategy together with the management team, and thereby have great influence over the overall direction and management of the company. Your role is to translate business objectives into HR solutions, and pull in the right resources from your HR team.

  • Contribute to a good work atmosphere by bringing in an approachable personality and an interest in being the go-to person for Volt staff of all levels of engagement with the company 
  • Prioritize the wellbeing of your colleagues as highly as the success of your ideas and projects
  • Are a great communicator who can express clear goals, while also creating space for dialogue
  • Take initiative when you see space for improvement and you have a personal vision for what successful HR management is
  • Take deep breaths when your team is busy and keep the overview of your goals and task

Practicalities

  • You will be working from Volt HQ in Nørrebro, Copenhagen
  • The position is full time, but the workload will be more intense in the festival season during the summer
  • We will discuss salary according to your qualifications
