Pangea Accelerator is an investment and competence development platform that connects talented and impact-driven start-ups with international angel investors and African diaspora investors. We won the Nordic Impact Award 2018 at Copenhagen Fintech & partner with UN-habitat, Microsoft and many more. We provide three months milestone based accelerator program focusing on validation & scalability. We also provide investor training programs We are based in Oslo and Nairobi.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and help develop and implement strategic milestones. We expect you to be experienced and the goal of the COO position is to  drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures 

• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of the team (Accelerator program, Investor program etc.)

• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication

• Write and submit reports to the CEO and board in all matters of importance

• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures

• Manage agreements and relationships with partners

Qualifications:

• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

• Proven track record as an independent and responsible doer through prior experience.

• Great oral and written communicator in English. It is a plus if you speak Norwegian, but it is not required.

• Minimum 2-5 years’ work experience

• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development

• Comfortable with a variety of responsibilities

• You work for the mission, not for counting work-hours

• Experience in fundraising will be a plus

• Proven interest and competence around startups fundraising/ investments/ venture capital etc.

• Strong positioning in your local startup community
