Lix is a study app where students can get their textbooks digitally and affordably, along with tools to enhance every study session. Our team is on a mission to make education better. We’re looking for a Communications Assistant who wants to join us in achieving it.

 As our Communications Assistant, you’ll join our Marketing and Communications team and take part in our marketing activities, including event coordination, social media, blogging, and PR. You’ll be expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

Skills 

• Excellent English writing and communication skills –preferably native.
• Great at time/project management - able to deliver on deadlines.
• Experience using social media platforms such as Linkedin and Twitter.
• Currently studying Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
• Editorial mindset - you love telling a great story.

Tasks 

• Plan and execute innovative strategies for the development/commercialization of Lix key stakeholders.
• Help develop and implement a B2B marketing and communication strategy with our Communications team.
• Copywriting for ad hoc communications.
• Source and evaluate potential commercial partners for Lix, including start-ups/Edtechs, and other opportunities.
• Coordinate and initiate events with key stakeholders (meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, etc.).
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and board meetings.
• Participate in Partnership Team meetings; create and distribute agendas, meeting, summaries, and coordinate successful completion of tasks and projects.
• Assist with the preparation of speaking engagements; research, gather materials, and produce PowerPoint presentations.
• Create/edit articles for our blogs.
• Coordinate Social Media and Editorial calendars - track events and ensure publishing schedule is maintained.
