Student & Innovation House is looking for individuals who fancy IT and technology, who understands the need and requirement for digital tools and who dream of using digital skills to empower a whole organization.

STUDENT INNOVATION HOUSE is the main vision of a group of students that realized the need for all students to have better spaces and networks to create and further develop their own innovation and sustainable projects. The idea took off when they received a grant to turn an old police station into a modern student hub that will welcome students from all universities, both Danish and international. Student Innovation House is set to open its doors in September 2020.

In the meanwhile, we are working hard to make everything ready for the grand opening. While the house is currently undergoing a serious renovation, we are busy working on making the management, operations and IT systems of the SIH ready for the grand opening. We need your knowledge, and we need as much help as you can give to us.

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON:

Webpage: We currently launched a beta version of our webpage, you can check us at https://www.studenthouse.dk/. We are working on further improving it. Back and front-end developers and UX experts are needed.

Our own management system: We need a system to keep track of members, volunteering hours, use of rooms, events, etc. Developers, IT-Systems experts, and Service designers are needed.

Your crazy-innovative IT solution. Do you believe you have a great IT idea to help us run the house? We are eager to hear from you.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Students who share our passion for IT and innovation, who understand the need for lean systems and who want to gain experience in digital transformation while they empower the growth of a whole organization.

Currently, we are in search of well-structured and detail-oriented people. We need you to have a basic understanding and the willingness to increase your knowledge of IT-processes, coding, and systems.

We need you to feel comfortable with Microsoft products: SharePoint, WordPress, and Powerapps.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You are a student or have completed your studies in any IT field within the last two years or you have a keen interest in digital transformation. (Operations, digital business, service design, etc)

You are positive-minded and eager to find solutions for complex and large-scale problems.

You have time for us. Since we are running on a deadline we will need around 10 weekly hours of work from you. Of course, we are very flexible and you should be able to schedule the hours at your convenience.

You bring your own ideas. Are you one of those people that gets bothered by inefficient systems? Do you believe in the power of digital transformation? Do you the willingness to make things better? We are looking for you.

WHAT YOU CAN GET FROM US

The position is unpaid, so it is ideal for someone who is looking for some volunteer experience to add to his/her CV or someone who just arrived in Denmark and wants to get a first-hand experience on Danish culture and work environment.
