AlphaWorld is giving gamers the opportunity to see how they rank amongst all gamers worldwide. We gather data from their gaming accounts, apply a little probability theory and crunch the numbers to calculate a gamers rank. We need you to create a web based UI, gaming platform integrations (eg. STEAM, Blizzard) and an internal data analytics dashboard. This is your chance to transition from frontend to full stack developer in a safe, learning based, and fun environment.

Your tasks will be a mix between frontend and backend work. If you lack the knowledge to complete a given task, we will give you access to an online course covering the topic. We do not expect you to have years of experience (it's an internship) but we do require you to give it everything you've got. The main tasks you will be working on are: 

• Web based UI: A simple UI with user login, basic settings, a bit of text and a number indicating a gamers rank. We may add more if time permits.
  
• Gaming platform integrations: You will get to do at least 1 and possibly more depending on time. If you would like experience working with API's this should be a blast :-) 
• Data analytics dashboard: We love data and we need a place to monitor the data we collect. This data will be used to track the overall health of AlphaWorld and tell us where to focus our efforts. 

You will be here to learn and build on your current skills. Unfortunately, we do not have a backend mentor for you in-house. Therefore, we require you to: 

• Solve problems on your own: You have a can do attitude and a willingness to pursue knowledge. 
• Be self-driven: We need you to be able to take action on the tasks we give you. 
• Be critical: We are not programming experts and we need you to speak up if you see something completely off. 
• Be structured: Document your work, work on one task at a time, take it slow. 
• Not take on tasks you cannot handle: We want to challenge you but just say no, if what we ask of you is way beyond your skill level. 

Other than programming experience we expect you to gain the following from the internship: 

• A good basis for founding your own company a little further down the road 
• Understanding of how the business and tech team works together to drive growth in a company 
• Knowledge of idea testing frameworks 
• Understanding of the importance of collecting business data and analyzing it in the right way 
• Experience with working in a small dynamic startup 
• Understanding the importance of business strategy in a highly competitive landscape 

The internship is will run for 3 months part time or full time. We encourage all who are qualified for the position to send us their resume.
