Donkey Republic is seeking an UX designer to join the team in Copenhagen. Donkey Republic is an investor-backed startup spreading cycling across the globe through our bike-rental platform. Our platform is capable of converting any bike into a rentable bike using a smart lock. We work with partners across many different countries to deliver a fully-automated bike-rental service. So far we've put more than 200.000 happy riders on bikes in Europe and beyond.

We are seeking an experienced Designer to take ownership of the Donkey Republic user experience

We are looking for a skilled person to take ownership of the Donkey Republic rider experience. In Donkey Republic our product development priorities are strongly driven by user research and data. That's why we would like you to be both a strong app designer and also take ownership of performing tests and collecting research on how to improve the overall rider experience.

What your job will be

Your daily tasks will be a mix of gathering insights on issues that riders are experiencing and actually realising solutions by designing our apps.

The research that you will help collecting will be used in the product prioritisation board to decide what our product roadmap should look like. You join this board together with our CTO, Head of Business intelligence and Finance and our CEO.

As Head of Design you will be responsible for design in Donkey Republic. Mainly that means delivering app design sketches for our product team and engage with our developers to find the best solution for our riders. But you will also help with designs for our website along with some printed marketing material from time to time. With a leg in both the product and marketing group, you will be an important part of developing Donkey Republic as a brand.

Who you are

You are fluent in qualitative and quantitative customer research and know how to build best practices in collecting customer insights. We see you as a corner stone in building up a good practice around researching and testing before implementing solutions.

You have also taken part in getting one or more mobile apps to the market. We want you to build the product with our developers and not just deliver designs to them. You should enjoy the dynamics of interacting directly with the developers and take on the challenge of getting your designs all the way to the market. It is important that you can design for both native iOS and Android and understand the limitations and opportunities of both platforms. Experience with web and offline marketing material is a plus but as our service is mobile only, mobile is where your passion should be.
