As the third developer in Penstable, you are versatile and can handle a variety of tasks, including being able to assist in JavaScript development and maintenance, designing software and infrastructure, and implementing new code in Python. As a team, our everyday jobs entangle in many ways, and you can expect intersections with our designers, analysts and management.

We imagine that… 

You’re well-versed in engineering algorithms and systems from the ground up and consider the specifics of language and frameworks as secondary elements to the task of creating good systems. 

You’re a creative problem solver and enjoy discussing ideas that lie at the intersection between multiple disciplines that entail infrastructure, software architecture, fuzzy algorithms and data modelling.

You are efficient at manifesting abstract thoughts as code, so that we may continuously reiterate the stages of designing, developing and testing. 

You are most likely a software engineer or computer science major, as this provides you with a good understanding of the underlying principles within programming. However, we welcome applicants from a variety of different educational backgrounds. 

You have a couple years of experience, be it in the shape of a highly relevant student position or a more traditional employment-record after your studies.
