We are looking for a backend engineer who possesses a passion for building performant, scalable solutions with the latest technologies. You will be a vital part of building a complete hotel experience using the newest and coolest technologies out there. 

Not only will you be working in a hot, new tech startup with a team of talented engineers and designers, you will be a vital part of our company and bring your voice to the table on how to build our new web and mobile-based application. Responsibilities:

• Design and build robust, cool and performant services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Cooperate with other parts of the organization to match service consumers
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Possibility to grow into the role of lead engineer

Requirements:

• Proven working experience in software development
• Top-notch programming skills in Java is a must with the knowledge of Spring, Web standards, gRPC, and GIT
• Test-driven and knows the importance of tests
• A solid understanding of how microservices work
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse backend technologies and techniques

Plus:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
• Polyglot - fluently know multiple computer languages and know how to use them.
• Experience with gRPC
• Machine Learning and AI
• Hotel Industry experience
• Experience with POS / PMS Integrations.
• BLE Beacon knowledge.
• Google Cloud Experience is a huge plus.
