This position is in the Hypefactors Engineering team and you’ll be reporting directly to the web team lead. Our engineering team is technically cross-functional, with expertise in digital design, embedded systems, backend, frontend, mobile, data engineering and data sciences. We function in a DevOps manner and strive to improve ourselves through process-improvement, adopting and devising industry best-practices.

Key Responsibilities

As an engineer, you’ll participate in the full life-cycle of our tech platform. This means that you’ll be expected to

  • Develop robust and easily maintainable web frontend components
  • Drive user experience innovations for the web platform
  • Contribute to the architectural design of front-end technologies
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers on building efficient interface

Along the way, you can take up additional responsibilities, such as

  • Mentor graduates and (junior) engineers
  • Manage key product features
  • Technology roadmap planning

Basic Qualifications

  • Expert level hands-on experience and understanding of Vue.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular Vue.js workflows (such as Vuex) in a deployed production application or an open-source project.
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript and data structure libraries
  • CSS preprocessors like Sass or Stylus
  • Unit Testing with Karma or Jest
  • Comfortable with source version control software and package managers (Git, NPM)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL solutions
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Desirable

  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • JavaScript programmer who aims to create innovative interactions
  • Passion to drive the conversation with creative teams, as well as attention to detail
  • Experience with E2E testing frameworks (such as Cypress)
