Aquabyte is hiring a Subsea Camera Engineer in the Bergen region. You will manage our partnerships with camera manufacturers, and help them co-develop a camera system with us. You will be a central addition to our Norway team, and work closely with the engineering and product team in both Norway and San Francisco.

Job Responsibilites

    • Manage our partnerships with hardware and camera manufacturers
    • Oversee the development process for a machine learning camera system
    • Make decision and conduct research on components, design, and setup of the system
    • Collaborate with the product and engineering team to evolve the product
    • Manage deadlines, milestones and goals for the hardware team

Job Requirements

    • Master’s degree in subsea engineering, camera engineering, or similar field
    • 5+ years of experience working with or design subsea or underwater camera systems
    • Interest in working at a Silicon Valley tech startup
    • You live in Bergen area, or willing to relocate
    • Professionally fluent in Norwegian and English

Bonus Experience

    • Worked with camera technology in an aquaculture setting
    • Working in a startup environment
    • Working and reporting remotely
