The role

As a Senior C/C++ Software Engineer at Airtame, you and your team will be responsible for developing the core of our wireless streaming software, which is responsible for capturing, encoding and transmitting audio and video data, then receiving, decoding and rendering the content on the Airtame device. This is low-level software which runs under CPU, memory and time constraints, requiring significant focus on performance, concurrency, and resource lifecycles.

Our talented engineers are given significant ownership and responsibility over projects. We value rapid iteration, continuous integration and testing, and we are serious about producing high-quality, maintainable software. Frequent code reviews, linting, and pairing are all integral components of our engineering culture. We encourage experimenting with new technologies and constantly challenge ourselves to improve our code, processes, and systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing highly performant software in C or C++
• Deep understanding of concurrency, memory management and object lifecycles
• Experience developing cross-platform native code is a big plus
• Experience with network protocols and security is a big plus
• Experience with Windows APIs development is a plus
• Experience with real-time low-level programming is a plus
• Experience with assembly and embedded programming is a plus
• Experience designing C/C++ APIs/libraries is a plus
• Excellent English communication skills
