Since the founding of the company we have experienced a huge demand for purpose driven fashion, but high price points and limited availability keeps the consumer from making the sustainable choice. By cutting out the middleman and selling directly to the consumer, we’re making it affordable and accessible on a global scale.


The position …

We are looking for an exceptional, structured and very disciplined communications intern who’s motivated by a steep-learning curve, high degree of responsibility and decision-making. The successful candidate will work 37 hours a week in close collaboration with the founding team, and be accountable for communicating new branding initiatives on new and existing markets. You will create press releases to be distributed to national and international media on an on-going basis. You will help create the tone of voice of Organic Basics on both external and internal channels and platforms. For the position it is a requirement that you are able to be at our Copenhagen offices 5 days per week. We’re expecting you to start in January, February or March in 2018.

 

What you will do …

• Creating brand awareness through creative communication campaigns.

• Obtaining national and international PR through press releases.

• Helping to communicate our sustainable vision through blog- and advertorial texts.

• Supporting the branding and performance marketing department with creative copy writing.

• Building our online brand through copy writing on our own platform. Who you are …

• Fluent in written English. • Have sustainable and organic values and care about the vision of Organic Basics.

• Ability to write in different tones of voices.

• Strong work ethic and highly driven personality.

• High sense of urgency and dedication.

• Entrepreneurial spirit.

• Age is irrelevant.

We work with organic and recycled materials - and European factories that minimise their environmental footprint in order to create our underwear, activewear and everyday essentials in the best way possible.Our team consists of fabric geeks, environmental activists and everything in between. Here’s the story. Three Danish school friends (Alexander Christiansen, COO. Mads Fibiger CFO and Christoffer Immanuel, CEO) didn’t like any of the underwear we wore - so we decided to make it better. No fashion school - no experience - no dots were connected and nobody said “ah, that makes sense”. But Organic Basics was born anyway. Back then we didn’t exactly think that sustainability was going to be at the centre of the fashion conversation today either - but we knew something was wrong with the industry. So we wanted to create a brand with purpose and meaning - to create something that we wanted towear ourselves. Sustainability had to be at the core of everything.That meant choosing environmentally friendly fabrics, partnering with responsible and transparent factories and designing products for longevity.
