A successful start-up company - that has now sold more than 10,000 robotic products to children world-wide. We make app-enabled robots that teach kids to code and are now looking at launching an AR product.
You should be familiar with object-oriented programming. Familiar with C#, Python, OpenCV and Apple AR Kit.
• SmartGurlz is looking for skilled student software engineers to fill two positions with our engineering team for an exciting Apple AR Kit project.
• The position is part-time or full-time-- 15-20 hours per week. Flexible for the right person including full-time.
• You will be working towards developing the future of the SmartGurlz product line using Augmented Reality technology.
The JOB
• The job is an objective-based position with the end goal of developing a prototype of an augmented reality-based iOS application that can be shown to potential investors in Q2/Q3 2018.
• The engineering team is self-managing and works independently within the organization with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• We work with the Unity game engine for product development and Python for prototyping.
• The position is either part-time or full-time, and is ideal for ambitious engineering students.
• A reasonably strong foundation in object-oriented programming. Our codebase is written in C# and Python. However, experience with either one is not strictly required.
• Practical experience with image processing and analysis using OpenCV or similar frameworks.
• Practical experience with game development using an engine-- Unity is ideal.
• Strong communication skills in English.
