Pangea Funds is an innovative investment and competence development platform that connects African startups with competence, network and capital. By combining education, investment, mentorship, we train high-impact driven African startups as well as investors, and match them with mentors and investors. By doing so, we make it easy for diaspora and angel investors to mentor and invest in startups in undeveloped financial markets.

We focus on high-impact pre-revenue and revenue startups that are solving issues in the Education, Health Care, Fintech and Agriculture sectors, as well social sand infrastructural while providing jobs and maintaining profitability. We are starting our pilot of Accelerator program in January 2018, in collaboration with @iBizAfrica and Strathmore University in Nairobi. We're looking a motivated intern eager to gain experience building a high impact video, web content and social video content for our pilot in Nairobi.

Jobs Description :

You will work closely with the startups and the Pangea Team to produce viral video content while helping to build the company's social media strategy. If you're ready to build your skills, network, and build your résumé, then Pangea Funds is the place for you. You will be responsible of documenting and capturing the accelerator program as well as the journey of the startups participating in accelerator program, and edit them into the right context.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible of shooting and documenting the program, and edit them to the right context
• Responsible of conducting interviews, directing and storyboarding
• Ensure that the video content is in line with our communication and PR strategy
• Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, external promotional social videos and product marketing videos
• Script, storyboard, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects
• Record/edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files
• Creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice/sfx, media management and archiving project media

Experience and qualifications

• You have hands on experience with pre- and post production as well as shooting great video
• You understand the key role video production can play in the marketing and communication of what happens within a startup accelerator
• Experience with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro is also valuable
• You must have your own filming equipment such as camera, tripod or GoPro
• You will be working on this mostly independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
