Airlabs has an open project based position for an experienced industrial designer who can create and develop innovative units that clean urban air pollution. We are looking for an independent problem solver who can work to design our systems to make a positive impact on the world’s cities. The successful applicant will work with our Head of Design and be the bridge between Airlabs’ scientists, engineers and our external clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work together with our business development team, Head of Design and clients to generate a brief, develop concepts, generate detailed designs for various urban air cleaning projects.
  
• Quickly generate design concepts to send to clients, working closely with our business development team to elaborate our company’s product offering.
  
• Manage projects to deliver results to clients within agreed deadlines.  
  

Experience + Skills:

• You have solid work experience in Industrial Design in an engineering environment. Experience working with airflow, fans, and/or street furniture is a definite plus.
  
• You have been responsible for successfully completing design projects that have been manufactured and built.
  
• You are proficient with a parametric 3D design software, such as Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.
  
• You are able to multi-task; a team player who is outgoing, positive, and flexible. You can work with different departments and have executive ability.
  
• You are comfortable working independently to manage your responsibilities and complete assignments. 
  

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Relevant academic degree such as Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or another related field
  
• Excellent proficiency in written and oral English
