We put a lot of effort in our digital marketing and our web presence and technology is very important to us. That’s why we are now looking for a web developer to join our team to help take our website and marketing to the next level.

What You'll Be Doing 

One of your main tasks as a web developer at Zervant is to help marketers and designers to build responsive high quality webpages with Wordpress and other platforms. You’ll be developing specific campaign pages, and create templates that enable our marketers to produce and publish high quality content on our website landing pages. 

You’ll be responsible for maintaining our marketing website servers and technology. You'll get to build the framework and choose the technology that enables our international website to scale as our business is growing. You’ll play a key role in helping us expand to multiple markets and reach out to our customers in more effective ways. 

We’re currently working with Wordpress, php, html, javascript, and other web technologies so knowing them would be essential, but we’re also re-architecting our web platform and your input on what other technologies and solutions we should use are crucial. 

Apart from working with our websites the role can also include working with developing our core product and Help Centre with other developers. 

And as a company with a user base across Europe, you’ll also have to travel across the continent to meet with partners and attend events on a regular basis. 

Some typical daily tasks would include: 

- Create responsive webpages together with designers and marketers 

- Research and select web technologies for us to use

- Take into use or create new themes and plugins and other useful tools that benefit our marketing (Wordpress, web, social media)

- Develop our system towards a flexible and easy-to-use content management system (CMS)

- Develop and maintain a reliable and scalable website architecture

- Implement javascript functionality such as animations and interactions

- Help to build and develop analytics capabilities (AB-testing, user behaviour)

What We Expect

We would like you to have extensive experience working with web development from implementing front end solutions to building backend. You would also need to have a good understanding of effective and scalable web-solutions, preferably on the international playground. 

- Good experience of current web technology standards and trends: html5, Sass, javascript and php (or other technologies) 

- Good knowledge of Wordpress and/or other content management systems

- Understanding of good usability conventions of websites.

- Understanding of web analytics such as page speed and other metrics, and how to meet them from a technical perspective

- Interest in crafting both details and larger usable and scalable systems

- Willingness to learn and grow as a developer

Nice skills to have

- Understanding of SEO and marketing analytics 

- Interest in marketing

- Experience in creating e-commerce platforms

- Experience in JavaScript frameworks and tools such as React or AngularJS

- Experience with version control
